yogurt starter....

Our yogurt starter came in today. Can someone please tell me if it's suppose to

be kept in the fridge or the freezer? I know it needs to be kept cold. Since K

has the croup and is congested, I will wait until it passes to start the goat

yogurt again. Also, can you use fresh goat milk to make your yogurt? I always

thought it would be best but, now I'm wondering if the bacteria would be a bad

thing for making yogurt. I am heating the milk to 185*. Thanks for your time,
