Guest guest
Hi Sandy, Sorry that you are feeling ill. This illness can always take some strange turns, can't it ? To me having a new puppy is akin to a new baby, I have had 5 puppies in my life. We decided early on that it was ok for them to sleep with us, Of course we did not have all 5 at once. It was over a period of 29 + years. Just think of how they sleep with their litter. They are use to being in a warm heap !! As well as part of a pack. I never worried about smothering them either. I had slept with my babies in the bed from the time they were born. I breast fed and it was most convient for me. They (babies) always started out the night in the bassinet but when ever they awoke hubby would change the diaper and bring them into the bed to feed. This is how he chooce to be involved in their care. How playful is the puppy? Does he like to chase a ball? Try to get him worn out with play before bed time. Maybe a good task for your son? Boys and puppies are a very good mix ! Now if you don't want the dog in your bed then you might have to but up with some whinning. Maybe a hot water bottle wrapped in an old towel will help. Any how, sorry to be so verbose. Hope that you begin to feel and that the puppy settles in. They usally do fairly quickly. Love, Cyndi All of the baby care and puppy care tips are IMO and only that !
