Guest guest Posted January 14, 2005 Report Share Posted January 14, 2005 All, I am presently on FMLA - Family Medical Leave Act. Your employer should provide you with the forms to complete. It is a Federal law. Basicially, what it does is protect you from losing your position within the company. I was granted leave up to 12 weeks and then can re-apply for additional time if needed. The leave can be intermittent. I try very hard not to let this disease interfere with my job, but sometimes it does. FMLA is worth looking into.
