Guest guest
Hi Patti, I would like to make the electrolyte drink for Sebastian. Problem: I stopped honey cheese and butter for one week which caused him to have panic attacks. I reintroduced one drop of honey with his fruit yesterday and today. And today he is having very small panic attacks. So for us honey is out!! for a while at least. What can I use to substitute honey in the electrolyte drink. Thanks Tina

You could substitue legal juice with an equivalent of approximately 34 grams of carbohydrates. For example Knudsen's Just Juice Concord grape has 40g of carbs/240 ml (8 l oz). You add about 240 mL/8 fl oz (or a little less) of the concord grape juice to your container, mix in the salt and baking soda and then fill up your container with the boiled water to the 1 quart mark. Refrigerate and use within 24 hours. This would be an approximate to the electrolyte mix.
