Guest guest
Yes, I know, I have been very lax lately about posting. So sorry to read that many are having problems right now. You are all in my prayers, everyday. Hope all of you start feeling better, real fast. I have been battling an intestinal bug, but today I felt better. First time in a week I haven't been having cramps and running to the bathroom. This hasn't been any fun at all. Saw my rheumatologist in Spokane yesterday. He picked up on some swelling across the top of my left foot and in the knee and said he doesn't think the RP is gone. It's still there, just keep taking my metho, and hope that I don't go into a bad flare up. We discussed this business about catching infections while on metho and pred. and he felt that treating the RP with immune suppressants can perhaps make a person more vulnerable to catching things, but that it is much worse to have the auto immune disease and not treat it because that weakens the immune system much more and can make it harder to get over infections. Does this make sense? It did when he was expaining it to me, but it's hard for me to remember just how he worded it. Take care all.
