Guest guest
Hi everyone, I'm so glad I found this group. I've been intrigued by all your postings and stories. My 4.5 month old son has positional plagio, specifically, on the right side of his head. He's a very enthusiastic right-handed thumb-sucker, and despite all our efforts at repositioning in the middle of the night and doing tummy time during the day, he's still asymmetrical (with his right ear pushed forward). We just received authorization for a skull x-ray. We're on an HMO, so this x-ray has to be done as a first step before anything else. My question to you all: how safe are skull x-rays for babies of this age? Thanks, Anne
Guest guest
We had to have one done at 1 month after my son's first month check up to see if he had plagio. He was fine. I don't think they would do it if there was any kind of risk.
