Guest guest
Joze, I take Levsin under my tongue when I start having a SOD attach. It is an anticholinergic med. Kinda works as an anti spasmotic for the GI track. It works wonders for me. I only need to take it a few times a month. presently I take another anticholinergic called Clidinium. I take it every 6 hours. Even set the alarm clock to take it in the middle of the night. if I don;t thenI wake up at 6 am with the spasm from you know where ! Both of those drugs are very effective for me. Lily from Ohio S.O.D. > > > > > > Dear groupmates! > > Has anyone of you information about > S.O.D.treatment > > without surgery? Just with meds? Guest guest
Thank you, Lily, for your sharing your experiences with spasmolytic meds. Actually, my diagnosis of S.O.D. is not yet definetively confirmed. It is rather an impression of one of my docs. So, I am not sure that we share the same symptoms. I am getting troubles after almost every eating, either liquid or solid. And after smoking too :-( It starts as a spasm one inch under my left rib cage approx. in the middle line. Then the spasm regularly ends in few minutes but thereafter I feel a rather long lasting burning pain in a broader circle around the primary point of spasm (excuse me for rather tangential description). Sometimes I take tramadol (a sort of painkiller) but rather not - not to become dependent on it. What does your attack look like? Similarly, at least?
