Guest guest
Hi all, hope everyone is doing ok. TRUDY.... glad to have you back chick. How are you feeling? Any problems? To all those who are worried about being rejected. First of all, alot of us post-ops were rejected. I for one was so worried about being rejected by my insurance, I never even though about the Dr. rejecting me , which he did rather quickly. One week later when I called Barbara to cry, complain, curse, and scream about it, I find out I am approved. All I could do was cry. (poor Barbara) There were very good reasons behind me being rejected. I found out what I needed to do to get approval and I did it. (not without whining mind you) Two weeks later, I had surgery. So, my advice to you is....remember that you WANT a PERFECT surgery. You don't want Dr. R to get you opened up and only be able to bypass 2 feet instead of 6-8. You don't want to have major complications from it. You don't want to get to NC just to be turned away in the OR (right Blair?). I didn't want the expense involved with any of that stuff nor the pain. I wanted a PERFECT surgery and that is why I choose Dr. R. Always remember that everyone is not a candidate for this surgery. There are other options for you, but if you can get this one, I would do whatever Dr. R (or God as he is so often referred to, LOL) requires you to do. Keep the attitude to yourself or email some of us privately. When I thought I could wrap my hands around Dr. R's throat (see posts in late Aug, early Sept. I think), several people had to make me get a grip. SO I totally understand the frustration, the roller coaster syndrome, etc. Lastly, remember that what is meant to be will be. If it is meant for you to have THIS surgery with THIS doctor, it will happen. You didn't get fat in 3 months, so what is a few months to prepare for something that will change the REST of your life! Besides, no matter how much you hate Dr. R right now, when you meet him, you will fall in love and regret eveything thing you though about doing to him. LOL Good Luck & God Bless!
