Also in the hospital, she could meet with a dietitian and they could works out

meal plans that could help her control her blood sugars. I have experience with

diabetes, as my hubby is a Type 1 diabetic. He was diagnosed when he was 5, he

is now 23 and does o-kay, but he is very brittle and requires an insulin pump.

n is very right, your mother needs to be taken to the hospital. If she has

given herself shots of insulin and her blood sugar is still that high, there

could be other factors that need to be explored. I hope that she gets better

and learns how to take better care of herself.

Hi, gang, and just to really cheer up this discussion, my endocrinologist,

a big-timer guy, tells me that the inflammatory process initiated by dia

betes increases the risk for cancer and other serious sequellae--I know,

really cheery old n, . . .again, Love to all at cfparents!
