Guest guest
my son will be 3 next wk and has been on scd for 6 mos. he is now doing dmsa chelation suppositories and singulaire for last month and the changes are incredible. it was worth waiting to start chelation until the yeast was under control and gutt more healed. he is so tuned in now, making animal sounds, 2 word phrases, pretend playing (eg. talking on the play phone, etc.) anyway, his teeth look grey and rotten. he has less sensory integration issues now, is taking the toothbrush and playing around with it in his mouth but no real teeth brushing going on. i scrape his tongue once in a while with a tongue scraper to get rid of bacteria. i won't use toothpaste due to flouride and haven't figured out how to make b.soda toothpaste yet. i don't want to make it an unpleasant experience holding him down. any suggestions on how to make a lg batch of toothpaste and get a 3 yr old asd kid to brush?? the last thing we need is cavities and root canals on baby teeth. Guest guest
It's the brushing that's important, according to my daughter's dentist. We've never been able to use toothpaste... so we just use a wet brush, twice a day, per his instructions. She's 10 and has never had a cavity. But she doesn't have the motor skills to be able to brush for herself.... we have to do it. We sing her favorite songs while we're brushing.... and give her lots of praise for opening wide. Patti toothpaste?, discolored teeth - worried, not even 3 yrs old get a 3 yr old asd kid to brush?? the last thing we need is cavities and root canals on baby teeth.
