For all the birthday greetings, Thanks. I found myself less invested in this

one than I usually am. Usually, I celebrate for 2 weeks, and my friends line

up and fuss over which dates they 'get' me, and then we do stuff. They take

me to plays, and museums and lots of dinners at nice and new places, etc. We

make a big deal every year. Somehow, I seem to be the only one in my circle

of friends who says, Celebrate, instead of " no more birthdays for me " , and so

I am an anomaly and everyone seems to enjoy it all the more. But this year,

all I can think of is what next year will be like. What size will I be, and

where will I go to celebrate, (Italy would be nice), and how much more space

to dream will I have then? I keep having thoughts that I can't remember ever

having. I am wondering what my style will be? I've been in big shirts,

baggy pants for so long. Will I be the silk shirtwaist type? Or the

Bacall, kinda tailored jackets and slacks type? What colors will I wear?

and where the heck are the stores that sell 'normal-size' clothing? I get

carried away with these thoughts. What size shoe will I be, and ring, and

panty? Am I going to remember how to flirt? (gee, I used to love that!) Am

I going to know how to date? Oh Sheesh, am I gonna remember how to . . .

(yeah yeah, riding a bike, I know).

We are on the threshold of a reincarnation. We have the unique opportunity

to remake ourselves. What an amazing and daunting concept. Exciting and

frightening. Turning 56 feels great! Can't wait to see what the next 56

bring! PJ

PJ:

Next year you will be celebrating your birthday relaxing on the beach in your

BIKINI!! All of the men will be bowing down to you......don't you worry!!!

And guess what??? We will all still be here to celebrate that magical moment

with you.

:) :)

Hi Judy: I was gone and didn't get to wish you a happy birthday. Was it

yesterday? 56 is a good one..kinds are out of our hair...live is mellow...and

now we're going to be able to enjoy it even more because we will be smaller.

Last week was my 58th birthday and my 40th high school reunion. Life is just so

good. I'm glad so many wonderful people (like you Judy) are going to get to

experience a new life.
