Guest guest
Hello, I had a very interesting appointment with a sleep disorders specialist yesterday. He works with quite a few of Dr Buckner's patients, in addition to me. He said that he thinks there is a high correlation between people having diagnoses of RP and sleep apnea, although there haven't been any official studies to correlate the two. He also stated that quite frequently he observes that when people who have rheumatic diseases begin to use a CPAP, or similar, their medications begin to work better than they had before the patient began the sleep apnea treatments. He said that this is just something that he has observed over time, but he works closely with a rheumatic disease clinic, so he has seen this a lot. All of that to say, if you haven't been assessed for sleep apnea, you may want to consider doing that. If you have it, you may improve your health in several ways by beginning treatment. Take care, M
