Guest guest
The kidneys are not excreting urine, and at least to some degree, he is retaining it! Probably it is not a primary kidney thing--this is just from my experience and that of my friends wcf--he may need to drink A LOT OF WATER!!!! This sounds like dehydration which in itself can cause temporary kidney dysfunction; I would say that both kidney disease and diabetes should be ruled OUT. If I can find a good site on this, I will send a link to the list! Highest hopes for ! Love to you parents, n Rojas ps is it hot where you are now? swollen hands Hi all, had his regular check up today at the cf clinic. Everything " cf " related is fine. However, this morning we noticed that his fingers on both hands were swollen. He has not had any new foods or meds. We showed it to the doctors at the clinic. They agreed that they were swollen, by this time, it had gone into his hands. So they put one of those bags on him down below to get a urine sample. Four hours later, he pees! They checked it for protein and it came back with a small trace of it. They are sending the sample to the lab and will call tomorrow. Any ideas as to what this is? Guest guest
n, It makes sense, he did not pee for 4 hrs, mmmh. Dehidration, certainly comes to mind. I hope is nothing more than that, not that is a good thing, but it is easy to fix. > The kidneys are not excreting urine, and at least to some degree, he is > retaining it! Guest guest
I found all too many links which basicly said what I had already said and a few other posts as well, so I did not send any; thank you for the request; if you search, though you will find that the protein they are most likely looking for in his urine is albumin; this has many meanings. Love to you both, and thank you, Love again, n swollen hands Hi all, had his regular check up today at the cf clinic. Everything " cf " related is fine.
