Guest guest
Let's put it this way: if one has spent, as my friends have, one's whole life being far more ill than I, who was diagnosed early, has been; if one's real normal life has been stolen, as was theirs, believe me they surely wished that they had been diagnosed early and had the amazing medical care for cf that I, as an example of one, have had. I have been near to death many times, but my whole entire life until 60 and 61 was not lost to total invalidism, and I think that is the value to early diagnosis. Had they been diagnosed and APPROPRIATELY TREATED, they would not have been in valids all their lives, in all probability, and might have at the worst, had a chance for transplant, and at the best, had less severe chronic illness. CF is bad enough, but not fully nor appropriately treated, it is a nightmare! n Rojas, who will no get off her soapbox and have some lunch! Thank you for asking; if only more physicians asked as well! We were told 5 years ago that he doesnt have CF. He does have most of the symptons. He appears to be growing normally. He does have lots of lung problems and lots of sinusitis. My question is does any have a child that was diagnoised older. My research tells me it is usually caught when they are little. Mrssbeaz My oldest was 6 when she was diagnosed.
