Guest guest
I thought I had responded to this, but I guess not. I'm sorry. We cannot say that any commercially made brand of tomato paste is legal. I don't know why she has that in her book because Elaine never OKed that. You can buy commercially made tomato juice that has nothing else except salt on the label, and simmer that down into your own homemade tomato paste, sauce, ect. I know that 's and Heinz are both legal tomato juices, and there may be some other legal brands as well. Basicly, you're going to put the tomato juice in a pot. Bring it to a boil, and then turn down to a simmer. Simmer uncovered until the juice cooks down into a thick paste...or whatever consistency you're looking for. Guest guest
We aren't able to verify any brand name of tomato paste as being legal, whether domestic or imported. If YOU feel comfortable with her statement about this (she did not have Elaine Gottschall's blessing to advise others to use these products), or if you wanted to contact a manufacturer or distributor and see if you can verify a particular brand for your own use, that's certainly something you can go ahead and do. Sorry we let your first message slip by. Short handed around here lately. Patti Re: Imported Italian Tomato Paste Gosh, anyone care to respond to a newbie. Guest guest
Hi, Every message on Yahoo groups has a number.... for the archives. Then each reply is tied to that original message, so they can be threaded for people to follow a discussion. I have the messages come in to my computer's e-mail program (Outlook Express), so I don't see them that way unless I go to the website to read mail. Yes, there are some SCD counselors, listed on www.pecanbread.com . Patti Re: Imported Italian Tomato Paste Thank you, Patti, for responding to my first inquiry. I am going to start the SCD after Easter and really need help as to do it 100% correctly. Are there phone consultants I can call for help? If so, would you please direct me to that. Also, I've never used a Yahoo group and find the inquiry layout frustrating. Why does each response have an ID number? Is my screen set up wrong. This newbie needs help!
