Guest guest
Had my surgery on Wednesday, 10/04 at 8:00 p.m.- it went great. Dr. R. was very attentive and kind and I got great care at the hospital. My surgery took 37 minutes and I was up and walking 30 minutes after I got back to my room. I was lucky - no pain from the port holes and no nausea. Just some discomfort from the gas - and that was pretty much gone within 3 -4 hours after the surgery. Dr. R. came by at 6:30 the next morning and told me I could go home any time I wanted. Rested and walked the next two days - and felt totally back to normal by Sunday. I had a lot of fun going to clinic on 10/10. It was great to be able to share my experiences with the pre-ops. I know how comforting it was the week before to see recent post-ops feeling well and walking around, almost as if they hadn't recently had major surgery. Thanks to Dr. R. for creating this great procedure and for his kindness and great surgical skills. Darrow MGB 10/04/
Guest guest
Hi Tonya, I'm 9 days post-op and completely depressed about the lack of feeling in my lip - is this what you experienced? I know this is normal, but it's so hard to handle now that I'm living it. When you say top is not numb anymore, what part was numb, your cheeks? I am obviously not a very patient person, panicking at 9 days. I am told the feeling comes back, it could take a long time - does that mean I will still be drooling at 7 weeks? Pam > Hey all. Just wanted to update everyone on my progress. I'm almost 7 > wks post-op, (feels like a life time ago now). I can open 3 fingers > wide and eat just about anything. I can really tell I'm swollen. I look weird still. Like when you > just get out of the dentist chair and your all numb and your bottom > lip looks weird. Plus my cheeks are still puffy.
