Med-a-port & Skin Infection

Hi Friends:

I know! I know! I've been very bad for staying away for so long

again! I hope everyone is well. I had to have my med-a-port re-

attached, and its been 5 weeks today, and I still have an awful skin

infection! I don't understand why. Last weekend there was a long

piece of stitch that was suppose to desolve attached to the top of

the infected opening gapped in my chest to the bottom of the

opening. Weird, I thought. My neighbor works at the urgent care

center, and she got me in the back door, ask the doc to take a look

at it, with no waiting! I was shocked! When she looked at my chest

and suggested I go, I absolutely refused because of all the problems

I have at the ER or urgent care, and when she told me she could get

me in the back door, I agreed. Any-who...they snipped the stitch,

and gave me an oral antibiotic. There is still alot of scabbing, but

no more nasty drainage. It's been a rough 5 weeks, thats for sure!

friends!
