Butter, butter, butter! I use so much butter these days that I'm considering

having MY cholesterol checked! I even put half a stick in a pot of chili

recently....

So, I would put some butter in those green beans, and also add some water, and

microwave them until they're really soft. I haven't had canned green beans

since I was a kid, but that's how I remember they tasted. Good luck!
