ERCP and EUS--note to Heidi

Well my doc emailed me back this morning and said that ercps and

eus, and even blocks can be done at the same time and often are

especially if the pt is have GA or MAC (anesthesia). He said that

it can sometimes cause a " suboptimal " ercp though. He also said

that the EUS machine at MUSC is not mobile, its in one room, so

sometimes it is just not cost effective. That is pretty much what I

had thought from the experiences I have had working with this pt

population.

Heidi I am so glad that you visit with the doc in Mayo was so

positive. I can just see you walking on cloud nine...lol. That is

really something about the water and panc ct scans; I cant count how

many times I have gagged down barocat then had diahrrea for days

after. Well all that will be in the past for me soon enough.

Please let us know everything as soon as you hear from Dr.
