Guest guest
For those without CF Diabetes adjusting carb intake ie.what you eat and how much of it, is essential. So not only do you take enough insulin to cover the meal, eat less sugar, fat and carb to adjust your sugars as well. There is a fine balance there, but insulin should not be abused. This leads to heart damage, high blood pressure and cholesterol. Healthy eating and exercise are essential in keeping blood sugars under control, not only medication.
