Without the gunk they can rule out unnecessary bad things in a hurry. It's just better. I thought that you said endo+colon SCOPES though. Jenn L endoscopy prep I think it's a little confusing since both upper endoscopy and colonoscopy are covered by the word " endoscopy " , but I would be truly surprised (as a registered nurse) if you needed to do a mag cit prep and no food for 12 hours before an upper endoscopy. Those are things really related to colonoscopy. (Mag cit is a laxative and clears out the colon. It will have no effect on the upper GI system [except to taste bad!]) But I'm sure this will get cleared up for you very soon, since you'll have your doctor's input on it!
