Guest guest
G is 3 and has been on the diet almost a month now, within the last 8 or so days he has turned into an ADHD child. He is in constant motion, it's hard to get him to focus, when you do he can answer your question, but then goes right back. He is watching his hands, spinning, writing his letters on the carpet, echolalia etc.. He's always had mild autistic traits but within the last 2 months they have really seemed to manifest themselves (even prior to the diet). It's almost obvious that he is uncomfortable but can't stop himself. I know everyone says this is die off, but after I read the vitamin K article, I've started obsessing. I have been giving epsom and baking soda baths for a few days now. I called one of the DAN doctors we see and she suggested charcol. I asked about vitamin K (per the article by the lady who's name I can't remember now), regardless, the doctor didn't know about the vitamin K issues that the author discussed. UUGGHH that bugged me. How the heck can you help my child if you don't know about this. I don't want to know more than the person I am relying on to help me with this. :>) Anyway, I want to know has anyone used both of these (epsom, baking soda baths and charcol) all at the same time. Also how do you know your child has vitamin K deficiency. And if he does don't you have to supplement with a few other vitamins A and something else, how do you know how much of what? I feel like everyday that passes I loose another day to help and the bad stuff floating around is doing more damage while I am fumbling around trying to fiqure this out on my own. Thank goodness for you guys. I see another DAN doctor who we did all of our urine and pooh tests with next Thursday. But all I can obsess about is that it is 6 days away and that I need to do something now. I swear I think I am starting to loose it I am obsessing about every negative symptom he shows. I've got to chill. Thanks for answering any/all of my questions.
