Guest guest
, you'd better blanche them. Here's a method I found. QUICK METHOD: Boil 1/2 cup almonds in water to cover until the skins absorb the water and loosen, about 5 minutes. Let cool, then peel. The skin of these almonds comes off quite easily because the skin absorbs the moisture and expands, but the almond itself remains almost dry. , mom to > > Hello > > I have some sliced almonds that are not blanched. Guest guest
Since these are already sliced, it may be quite difficult to blanch them. Why not throw them in the freezer and use them in a month or so when you're further along? Patti Unblanched Almonds Hello I have some sliced almonds that are not blanched. I wanted to try Benito and nut butter. Just a little. Can I use these almonds to make almond butter or almond milk? Or should I throw them out or is there a way I can blanch them? Thanks!
