Guest guest
Hi guys, My Kiddos are getting bored with their limited food choices and they are eating very little of certain foods are just refusing to eat them. They won't eat cooked fruit anymore...I'm making them fruit popsicles again( 1 month ago they decided they had enough popsicles)..I'm sure the popsicles are only a temporary thing. They won't eat anymore chicken salad,no sneaky chicken patties,no soup,no apple sauce, they won't drink anything from my juicer, and at times I can't guarantee they will eat(or eat any real amount) any kind of meat or vegetable. My son sometimes just eats more eggs! I tried coconut milk, hoping to use it as a base for smoothies, but it looks like they are allergic to it. I'm not too worried about my son as he is eating a ton of eggs, and little pecan butter now...the pecan-squash bread has really helped him feel much better!(I'm sure there are more things to try) Breakfast and snacks at school for my daughter are so difficult. She can't have eggs, nut butters, yogurt yet. I tried some pecan butter and a tiny bit of egg with her recently and it is going to be a long time.(strong reaction)She is only around the second stage of the diet. She eats sooooooo many bananas....waiting 2 days for a ripe one is so difficult...sometimes she will eat some cooked veges or left over meat with her breakfast. Sometimes she just goes hungry and I make an early lunch. I used to send her things like :cooked veges, chicken salad, chicken patties, chicken legs, apple sauce, cooked apples for the first school snack, but she usually doesn't eat them. She just goes hungry until 1:15 lunch. She would eat cooked peaches but they are out of season. She comes home for lunch or I bring her a big lunch for second lunch break. She is very depressed about food...she loved all her raw fruit-veges. Sometimes all she is eating for lunch or supper is the meat...as she sometimes refuses the veges and won't eat cooked fruit(even with honey or cinnamon). I don't like feeding her a hamburger for a bedtime snack..she is still hungry when she goes to bed.(As she only eats so much meat). If you tamper with her meat and hide some fruit/veges in it, she won't eat it.(I've tried). I would rather send her candy made from fruit for a school snack then a banana that isn't ripe. Sorry for this long winded note. I probably will just continue the way I am until she can have more. I don't really know if there is anything more I can make. thanks, Cathy Mom to 9, 6 scd august 2006
