Guest guest
I wonder if loosing pancreatic funtion either by disease or a total would affect our metabolism. I have always been hot blooded, kept the a/c on till november and would have the house wide open today with all the fans blowing if I wasn't freezing. Its beautiful out, warm, low 70's and I am walking around with sweats on and socks to boot. I'll have to ask my doc next time I see him if this does have some bearing on our metabolism. It cant just be the loss of sub-q fat because I am still a bit plump. I have been thin before and never have been cold in my life, not like this anyway. I'll ask. Lets just hope we have finished with winter in the south, I doubt it we usually have another good blast in Feb and sometimes even in March. But by mid march I am ready for the beach. Not this year...lol. Chrissy
Guest guest
Hello good People, I too suffer from being cold most of the time and my husband is hot natured. Makes for an interesting combo. I am not a slim person, so you would think my extra padding would keep me warm. When I was first treated for CP my weight was about 229 and now it is 185. I do have low thyroid but my Dr. declares it normal on the replacement therapy. On ocasion (mostly at night, I am hit with a heat wave and subsequent (night) sweat. My menopause is low passed. This sure is one wacky illness, Huh? Let's please keep up supporting and loving esch other. Love to all, Cyndi PS: AS an aside, My Dr. at MUSC declares my CP a mild case !!
