My understanding is that you cannot take birth control pills post-op and must

find another route of prevention. It may be on the main page under the

" search " icon-but I have not checked. My littermate was on them post-op and

it really screwed up her periods. She bled for about 6 weeks,and lost alot of

blood,whereas pre-op she never had a problem. I went on them at 5 months

post-op(for rosacea, not for birth control,'cause Flo told me not to have

sex.) I didn't have any bleeding problems,but got alot more " hot-headed " than

usual,and it slowed my wt. loss. I think hormones play a bigger part in wt.

control/emotions than we think. Anyway-I still ramble- you need to find

another route.IUD,vasectomy,tubal,abstaining....yeah,right,etc. Good luck !
