Guest guest
Thanks Heidi...I have the Miralax unfortunately as it says in the adverse reaction section of the directions....may cause nausea...well, that's what it does to me. So, I'm back to drinking prune juice, eating prunes, cream of wheat, oatmeal and taking stool softeners. I don't know why there is such a HUGE interaction lately between the constipation causing nausea but I know now I've GOT to keep myself cleared out or I will have an awful attack. Constipation or any kind of bowel disturbance IMMEDIATELY starts my panc to acting up BIG Time and with the overwhelming, severe nausea...well, suffice to say I will do ANYTHING to keep cleared out. If I haven't gone by the second day...I'm forced into using suppositories to get myself going. Fortunately, with the above combo I seem to be ahead, just a step ahead of the demonic attacks which all have some sort of bowel disturbance starting them. I'm really hoping that the celiac block will have been enough to at least have broken the last cycle for me. I'm having pain again but not as bad and like I said, with the above regimen..so far, so good. Pain doc wants me to try as hard as possible to avoid the Percocet and just stay on the 2 75mcg duragesic patches changing every 48 hrs. I've been trying like hell..must say I've had pain in the last day or so that would normally have had me taking a Percocet. But, I want to avoid the constipation, so I try like hell not to take the Percocets....thanks for the info. How about estrogen? I stopped taking that for 2 days (and didn't let doc know as I will tomorrow even tho I resumed tonite because last 2 nights haven't gotten to sleep until at least 4 or 5 am!!!)...I just don't know what end is up lately... I TRULY DO NOT. I will say that since the sphincterotomies....I have been MUCH worse than I was before, however, I didn't have a dx then and I do now (although some docs sort of poo poo the SOD dx)....but at least it's a dx. Now, if I can just get the dis. retirement people at work and SSDI on board...I've had no income since middle of June but can't get a doc to definitively say I'm disabled because I haven't seen any of them long enough!!! My PCP won't initiate the paperwork because he feels a GI should do it however, I feel he needs to do it because he's known me for over 10 yrs!!! If that ain't a baseline, I don't what is.....I'm about ready to freak out I swear. Ok, deep breaths, deep breaths....speaking of deep breaths, does anyone ever get partial relief from breathing in nice cool air from the outside? Sometimes, I can get down a couple of levels just by breathing the cool outside air...and taking big deep breaths, I seem to get short of breath lately as well. Oh well, enough about me!! thanks love > But, what I'm also wondering and anyone else can chime in here....is there a > big connection between getting constipated and getting that SEVERE > nausea? Sure seemed to be to me and now I'm ready to fire my new gastro > doc (snip) because he's the one that told me to take an entire bottle of > magnesium citrate...which I did and I thinkk that may (I HOPE TO GOD NOW > THAT IT WAS!!) what threw my panc into a full blown attack...
