We started my almost 2 year old daughter on SCD about 1 month ago. I

don't think she has had die off as her stools got hard almost right

away. She has gotten significantly more diaper rashes since she

started the diet but other than that, she seems about the same.

She has goat yogurt every day (she is allergic to casein but seems to

tolerate the goat yogurt okay). However, the following things have

happened:

1. She wanted a small drink of goat milk (maybe 3-4 oz). I let her

have it and she threw up within 20 minutes. Why can she tolerate

goat yogurt but not milk?

2. She had a smoothie made out of goat yogurt with banana and some

cooked strawberries and apples in it. She loves them. Normally I add

lots of almond butter too so that she gets some protein because she

hates meat. A while after drinking hers, she got hold of her

brothers and drank it (all fruit and fruit juice, nothing else

added). She drank about 6 oz and within 15 minutes threw all of it

up. Why?

3. Why is apple juice not safe but grape & pineapple juice are? If

the manufacturers of apple juice add things without telling, how do

we know the others aren't doing the same? Is Pomegranate juice okay?

4. I cannot find any ham that isn't cured with some sort of sugar,

has anyone else found some?

5. I cannot find any tomato juice that was not made from

concentrate. Why is concentrate bad?

Thanks so much!
