They are the same thing. Lipram is the generic name, like Advil and

acetomenophen. It is the same thing just check the number behind

it. I take Lipram 10 and it is the same thing as creon 10.

How are you feeling Cecilia? Have you gone back to work yet? I hae

had a bit of a set back with pain but I think it is from the

incision.

I hope your feeling better. Be sure to drink plenty of water with

the creon it helps with how your intestines supply it to the blood

stream and also reduces the gas.

HOpe this helps

Patty,

Actually, Lipram is a different enteric-coated enzyme than Creon. Creon has

mini-

microbeads in it's capsule, while Lipram only has microbeads in theirs. The

actual content

of the enzymes are slightly different. The reason I know this is that while I

was at the PAI

Symposium two years ago, a rep from the manufacturers of Creon was there,

marketing

their product. At the time, I was taking Lipram-20's, which had been

substituted for the

Ultrase-20's I took before. The sales rep was trying to get me to switch to the

Creon,

saying that it was a more effective enzyme.

I did sample the Creon for about a week, and had some problems with cramping and

discomfort. I understand now that this a common side effect initially, but it

stops within

the first few weeks. In the end, my GI talked me into switching to Viokase,

with Protonix

taken beforehand, and that enzyme has worked very well for me.

With love, hope and prayers,
