I have always used Frontier Organic spices such as cinnamon, basil etc.

which come in a glass shaker bottle.

Our market no longer carries them and has substituted another line

called " Simply Organic " from Frontier which comes in small cylindrical

plastic containers with a swivel top. I bought one of the new ones and

the cinnamon didn't look the same. The color and texture of the

cinnamon was a little different too.

I swelled up when I opened the container. I phoned Frontier to see if

there was starch in the Simply Organic, but nothing is added. Only the

container is different.

Well I figured it out. The new packaging is a high resin plastic that

causes me to swell when I touch it, so I just poured it into the glass

bottle and am hoping for the best. It means a whole trip downtown to

get the other original Frontier spices which are still available at

Whole Foods.
