Guest guest
, Just checking in with you...are you doing better now that your block is in place? I go back tomorrow to have a second block placed in my back...I am praying for the best...to get through Thanksgiving without a lot of pain. I am praying that you have a relief from the pain and nausea...for several months too! As for estrogen...I know that I had a flare when I was put on estrogen. I had to take estrogen because my last block (done through the back) started my period just as it ended, and it got so heavy and kept continuing with no end in site that I knew I had better see my OB/GYN. He knew of my CP...and knew I had endometriosis, but thought that estrogen would heal whatever was causing the bleed, and the blood loss needed to stop ASAP. I don't take hormones at all, haven't in years, and after that disaster, I will never do that again! I can't say don't take your estrogen, I read someones post that it was bad without the hormones, so I think you and your doctor will have to do a trial to see if you indeed would do better without them, and hack the side effects. My Doctor (family physician this time) thinks that perhaps there is endometriosis growing on my pancreas, among other things, and I am finally starting to admit that hormones play a part in the flares, although not every time. Funny, ever since I started having problems, I swore up and down it had nothing to do with my cycles, and finally my Doctors all agreed the CP flares really didn't correlate, now I am thinking that there is a connection between the flares, the cycle and the amount of pain...some of the time, anyway. I hope you are feeling better...by this time tomorrow night I hope I am feeling better myself! Take care.
