Guest guest
Before I read the last part of your letter, not wanting to P him off, I was going to suggest you call Dr Lehman, and tell him you are in dire straits, that your GI he recommended hasn't been able to return your calls for some reason, and you are severely nauseated and this procedure is not working. He might ask you to come back to see him, or be able to chase this doctor up or recommend a new doctor. You could put it that as the other GI has obviously been unavoidably detained with emergencies, you needed some advice and help with the nausea, and your local PCP feels it is out of his league. I would also be asking your PCP to refer you to a pain specialist, and ask if they could get you in immediately as you are violently ill with pain and nausea. Perhaps if you go to the ER, they could call Dr Lehman if they can't get hold of your new GI doctor? Unfortunately, sometimes it takes acting all innocent and polite for it to pass over so as not to show that you are p'd off with a doctor when you need him for some reason, such as your retirement package deal. In the meantime, I have found a list of the top doctors in Rhode Island (guessing that RI is abbreviated for that..i've been living in the states for over 4 years, but still not familiar with some of the abbreviated states). Gastroenterologists and the hospital they work at Christy Dibble [WI] Califano [RIH/RW] Philip Trupiano [KENT] Akerman [RIH/RW] Pamela Connors [WST] Neil Greenspan [MIR/MEM] Theodore Palumbo [RIH/RW] Endocrinologists [MIR/RIH] Kahn [RIH/MIR] Ortiz [FTM] Pain Management Doctors Frederick Burgess [RIH] Minn [WST] Baziotis [MEM] Gerhard Friehs [RIH/MIR] Hospital Abbreviations Kent : Kent Memorial Hospital...Warwick MIR : Miriam Hospital in Providence RIH : Rhode Island Hospital Providence WI : Women and Infant's Hospital Providence WST : The Westerly Hospital Westerly MEM : Memorial Hospital of Rhode Island, Pawtucket FTM : Our Lady of Fatima, North Providence Just get their phone numbers from Directories at your local Phone company, and give one of them a call, telling them what's happening and how urgent it is. Another thing might be to ask them if you go to the ER, could you ask for one of them to be called and you have your initial consult there just before they treat you. I have done this before, had my initial consult and ER consult all in one. Hope some of this is of help to you,
Guest guest
Call the doctor and leave a message that says that you'll be in his area in a couple hours and you'll stop by to see him and discuss your situation. If that doesn't work, you may have to through and actually go to his office. Good luck, -stan
