Hi All,

My daughter will get her helmet off in 2 weeks come hell or high water (my

husband is DONE). It was plagio we were working on and she is down to 1.7 mm

(yea!), and her CR (at level 3) has also gone from 87.3% down to 83.8%. I want

to keep working on getting her CR number down to under 83% if I can so was

thinking of having her wear the helmet all night, naps, and car rides with space

made in the front and back and just held on the sides. (ly, she can wear

the helmet at night for years and it wouldn't bother us, but we want to see her

head again during the day :)

Does anyone have experience with part-time wear -- good or bad? I want all

feedback on how this can work or if it just plain doesn't. If you all have found

it doesn't work, I don't want to waste time when I could just try to suffer the

helmet full time a few more weeks instead.

Thanks,

I can tell you that my son wore his helmet for plagio and I did the part time

wear a bit at the end, I am sorry I did that because we did not capture a growth

spurt very well. While I do think it can be better to wear part time than none

at all, especially while sleeping to keep them off their head/flat spot, the do

grow all day long as well as at night so if you have the helmet off at all you

are losing correction. I would be sure you are satisfied with stopping

treatment befor you go to part time wear if at all.
