Guest guest
Compliance is the biggest problem! My older son was great! My 7 year old is horrible! We have only done this following surgery . Toddlers I would try in the bath tub and try making it into a ritual - i.e. wash our hands, clean our nose.......... There are so many great treatments but its murder to get children to COMPLY!!!!!!!!! That is the cause of most of my frustration. Rosemary in NY with 3 children (13, 11 and 7) with CF. I have a dog named TOBI and have coined the phrase " BREATHE DAMMIT " my new favorite quote is Any idiot can face a crisis - it's day to day living that wears you out. Guest guest
I use to make my own saline solution for cory. It has been a while but what was recommended to us was a recipe that calling for pickling salt so it wouldn't " burn " . We use a bulb syringe. I cut off the tip so it wouldn't go o long. Or the kind that are used for the ears, works good too. Cory also had several sinus surgeries starting at age 4. Basically once a year since then. --- In cfparents , " fostercf2002 " <JBEarle@A...> . Guest guest
We use Little Noses Saline Drops. Zach likes to " help " me put the drops in his nose. He holds the bottle and I squeeze the drops in. He also holds the bulb syringe for me too. We only use the drops and syringe when he has drainage, so it is not a daily thing. I was scared to try the bulb syringe as how would you clean and dry it out completely. The rhino parts can be boiled like the pari nebs.
