Guest guest
Hi, Those symptoms of pain in the shoulder blades with nausea and the tightness under the ribs......are all symptoms I would feel when going through a bad flare up. Does it feel as though there was a wide band all around your ribs that kept getting tighter and tighter? Everything you've described sounds to me like a bad attack. I've had all of these symptoms many times and the only way I was able to endure them was because I was using pain medication that helped to lessen the severity of the pain, You didn't mention that you were on any pain meds, or that you had seen a specialist about your condition. It's imperative that you have a specialist, usually a gastroenterologist, who can treat you for your chronic pancreatitis. Once you are under the doctor's care, there are things that can be done to minimize the severity of your attacks. Have you been given instruction on the low fat diet you should be following? Have you been given pancreatic enzyme supplements? All of these things should have been discussed with you when you were first diagnosed. It's sounds as though you may have been left out in the cold, or perhaps I've misunderstood your post. There is much that can be done to help you. Please post again, tell us your name, and let's see if we can help you. With love, hope and prayers, Heidi Heidi H. Griffeth South Carolina State Rep.
