how long to stay in Durham,other Drs doing MGB,contacts

I saw these two questions and thought I'd give my 2 cents.

First of all, please, please stay in Durham 7 days after surgery. It is not

worth it to go home early if you end up having problems. I speak from

experience.

As for other Drs doing MGB, according to a post recently by Dr Rutledge

there are a couple of other Drs. Here is a quote from that post:

" Dr. O' in Soth Dakota and Dr. in Greensboro and several

more surgeons are on the way. "

As for contacting post ops who now have lives away from the computer-I

called Barbara and she sent me a listing of post ops which had their surgery

dates on it. My copy did not have any phone numbers, just email addresses.

I sent out a bunch of emails, many of which did not go thru, but I did

receive enough replies so that I had 8 contacts who were 1+ year post ops.

I was on the phone with one of them for 3 1/2 hours-she said she loved

talking about MGB. BTW-they did not count, but I also included contacts

that I made while looking into RNY via obesity help.
