Update on ( Thurs)

Well, I have been off line for so long and I can't get caught up. My sister

left today, she said she couldn't stand to be in a disfunctional household

any longer. LOL

I got a call from my PCP this morning saying I STILL had a urinary tract

infection. I was just leaving to go see the infection specialist and told

him I'd call him when I got back and report any news.

The infection specialist had all the test result faxed to him. I was

origninally going to see him to have him figure our what antibiotics I could

take for dental work and any scopes they might do ( urinary, GI, throat, etc)

since I am allergic to almost all of them.

When he walked in he just came right out and told me that I didn't have a

severe enough infection and that if he had seen the test results before hand

he wouldn't have agreed to see me. UGHHH!! I told him that I needed him to

figure out what antibiotics I should take. He told me I was a hard and

difficult case. He told me he knew EVERYTHING about RP and he didn't want

any more infomation that I had brought. I told him my main concern was that

I didn't want ANY infection and I didn't want them going to my heart. This

IS the main concern. He told me to take some oral med for dental work and he

didn't know for sure about the scopes. Told me to TRY Rocephin. " TRY?? "

I don't think so!!!! I want to know that I am being covered the best way

possible. He told me to go to a doctor that could help me. LOL

Well, needless to say I boo hooed all the way home. I was in so much pain

and I couldn't stand it any longer. Called my PCP and he got me right in.

He was upset with the other dr too. My feet are the size of bowling balls,

can't up the diuretic because of the UTI and dehydration. I'm just a mess.

LOL He wanted to give me a morphine patch but I refused. Someone has to be

in control of what these drs. do or say. LOL He did get me in to see a

urologist tomorrow morning at 9am. STAT! They will probably have to do a

scope into my bladder, but they can't until I have the right antibiotic, and

come down on my coumadin ( because of bleeding) GEEZ!!!! I should have had

the darn ol' pigs valve. LOL

So, I'm doubling up on my pain meds and hopefully this urologist will give me

some relief or an answer soon.

Well, now that I have whined and complained I feel a whole bunch better. I'm

heading off to take a shower and get into bed and just relax.

I will keep you all updated, but I'm sure I'll be just fine, don't worry if

you don't hear from me as usual. I promised my family I would REST, REST,

REST... LOL
