Guest guest
Not sure what you are describing. Is the dent from the " sideburn " of the band? Some people do get a dent from this, but I haven't heard convincingly if it goes away or not. We had a starband, but didn't experience this. -christine sydney, 4.5 yrs, starband grad > > On Saturday we noticed that the tip of the left temporal side was leaving a dip or dent where it rests just under the cheek bone on our baby. We took him out of it until he saw the orthotist today. He is in a hanger band for 5 weeks now. He has plagio on his right side. > > The orthotist said it is soft tissue and will fill back in after he is discharged. Have any of you experienced this? It seems like it would've improved over the past three days. I would hate to deform his face. Please help! > > Thanks, > Angie >
Guest guest
If you look in the pictures under alex indent, it's not too far into the a's. It looks just like that. I've searched and searched and not found any info on whether it fills back in. It is from the bottom of the sideburn pushing in. > > > > On Saturday we noticed that the tip of the left temporal side was leaving a dip or dent where it rests just under the cheek bone on our baby. Guest guest
Our child had an indent on her forehead that the orthotist said was " soft tissue " related (e.g. indents on your leg from wearing a tight sock) and would go away after the treatment was finished. That was 10 months ago. The indent is still there. We're trying to figure out what to do. > > > > > > On Saturday we noticed that the tip of the left temporal side was leaving a dip or dent where it rests just under the cheek bone on our baby. Guest guest
Our son had some soft tissue dents from his helmet, and they all went away very quickly, but his helmet always fit very well. He never got red spots or irritation. I'd ask the ortho to shave a little if possible to reduce the indent. > > > > > > > > On Saturday we noticed that the tip of the left temporal side was leaving a dip or dent where it rests just under the cheek bone on our baby. Guest guest
I hope you find an answer, and are able to get the dent to resolve. We have shaved some since then. So far no changes. It isn't getting worse so that's good. A neurologist has looked at him and agrees that it will fill in. I hope he's right!
