Guest guest
Hello everyone, Thank you to Heidi and to others who have kindly e-mailed me about Jim's prostate cancer. I will keep you posted after the next tests in a couple of weeks. You can imagine how I am feeling just now. I have just spoken to Sue. She is recovering well from her surgery last Thursday. They found a knot in the bowel sticking to the Roux- en-Y join. This was causing the pain spasms and sickness. They also found two other adhesions which were not actually causing a problem. They have sorted everything and put some sort of gel in which is to try to stop sticking now. Sue is feeling so much better and is pain- free. Of course, she is still on the post-op pain management scheme. I'm hoping to see her tomorrow before we go to Madrid on Tuesday. The following week should see Jim's tests, hopefully. I don't think I could wait any longer. Everything will move very quickly now and treatment will follow. Hopefully this cancer will prove to be treatable. Either way, I have to try to be strong but I don't think I'm very good at it. It's much worse than thinking about my own illness. Warm regards and thanks to all, Fliss (UK)
