Guest guest
The first thing you should realize and accept is that it HAS NOTHING to do with ANYTHING you may have done. It is all genetic. With CF there is no one to blame. My first daugther was 6 when I found out. I had my " typical healthy 4 " tested and he was positive. All the signs were there - in NICU w/ pneumonia first month, 3rd month, etc. Sonograms for abdomen pain - at 3 - no one ever put it together. Thank God we tested him. I always think that if they weren't tested the children wouldn't be receiving the proper treatments. As devastating as having a child with CF can be imagine you didn't know and your child was not receiving the proper treatments??? I will get off my soap box.......and go yell BREATHE........ Rosemary in NY with 3 children (13, 11 and 7) with CF. I have a dog named TOBI and have coined the phrase " BREATHE DAMMIT " my new favorite quote is Any idiot can face a crisis - it's day to day living that wears you out.
