Guest guest
You have to remind yourself that you made the best decision for your son. Your pediatrician could not have predicted whether his head shape would have corrected itself. The last think you would have wanted to have happen is at 9 months decide that he needs the helmet. By then, his growth would have slowed down and the changes to his head shape would have taken so much longer. > > My 5.5 month old just got his helmet from Hanger, I'm a little worried that it is too tight. The Hanger group insist it is not hurting him and it needs to be tight, they shaved a little off the sides, i think just to appease me. I think I just need a little reassurance that we are doing the right thing. My son, Tanner has Mod. to Severe Plagio. by the neurosurgen, our peditrian did not want us to get the helmet, she wanted us to try the therapy and repositioning, the therapy is helping the Torticollis but the repositioning is not working. I think that is making me worried as well that she is not behind us. The therapist, neurosurgen & my husband & I all feel this is the best thing, but w/o her backing us, i am second quessing my decision. I'm hoping you guys can comfort my nerves. It is really making it hard for me to concentrate at work, plus I think he has an ear infection and is cutting teeth, poor little fella. Thanks for listening, Traci >
