Guest guest
Yes, I have been to the chat thingy and it works very well on my Mac laptop (just a little scratch on the chalkboard kind of thing to mention a Mac in this predominantly PC universe), however no one is usually there other than myself when I go there. I know that they try to get us all together there during the week, but I always seem to get the notice the day " after " the event. Gee, if anyone wanted to go on in the night as they are wailing around in their suffering and cant get to sleep, that would be a nice place to go. Create a new window just for it and surf the net, checking back to see if anyone is there or not, leaving a note . . . Bet that would work. Lately, I also have not been able to eat or drink too well. Telling someone who is so sick that they can't eat to eat is a bit unkind as the situation is already frustrating. Like most of us whose pain is not well acknowledged, we also need to acknowledge the other sufferings that our dear friends go through--not eating, taking meds, etc. Myself, I have that eating problem and it is driving me crazy. I don't lose weight, but I eat just to keep up, and I am so nauseated all the time and have no meds that will control it (reglan, valium, and phenergan do not work together or separately). I also have a problem with diabetes. My numbers are about 400-450 all the time now. Please, I don't need to be reminded that this is dangerous and can lead to some icky outcome. While I become ill if I eat protein (powdered or animal) as it excites my pancreas and can really only tolerate fibrous complex carbs (which I now seem not to be able to digest and become acidic in the stomach until I throw up) which is supposed to be bad on my diabetes. I can't eat on either side of thee political food aisle without terrible difficulty. I do not know what to do or how to handle this so I just sit here sick all the time. Wait, I lie here in bed 99.99% of the time. So, you may want to advise me as to how to handle this situation as I will soon be inundated with doctor appointments from my shrink to my endocrinologist (I have 5 doctors now!) due to the blood tests that I took today (this happens every time I take all of these tests, which is not very often). But you know what doctor or consultant I don't have? A dietician!! I am wondering if a dietician can come up with ideas of how to eat when no matter what you eat makes you sick! So, I am going to ask for one. Since they are not " doctors " , maybe they're not thought of as much as " professionals " (those many of us curse). Anyone here have a dietician in their palette of helping professionals? If so, please share your experiences so that I can determine what to do or seek in one. Well, I have rambled enough and I thank you for your time and you kindness in reading this. Anyse
