Guest guest
Marivic, I have an underlying hereditary illness that contributed to my pancreatitis, and the reason I am mentioning it is because it was a adenomatous polyp that was in high displaysia that was blocking my pancreatic duct at the ampullar. Similar to yours. High displaysia is the step before cancerous, so if yours isn't high, then that is good. I had surgery to remove the polyp which then caused a stricture at my duct due to scar tissue. This was not found and corrected until 2 years after my surgery. If you want any further info, just email me. My hereditary illness with polyps starts with the polyps in the colon and they can also produce in the duodenum and stomach. But this is unlikely what you have, so I don't wish to alarm you at all. I don't have any huge bouts of pancreatitis anymore since they did my final sphincterotomy, but I do still have biliary duct spasms, but they are bearable and don't happen too often.
