My daughter has eczema and extremely sensitive skin. We used the 91% (I think it

was 90 or 91%) and it never caused any problems with her eczema. I was actually

really concerned about how she was going to handle the DOC Band since she does

have skin that reacts quite easily to irritants, but it never caused her eczema

to flare, and as long as we let the band dry completely, and all of her skin

creams to completely soak in before putting the band back on, there were

absolutely no problems with her eczema.

I'm so glad to see someone posted this. I had been wondering the same thing.

Sharyn-- What creams did you use on her head?

I only moisturize her face, forehead and back of her neck, but all of those

areas were in contact with the band. I LOVE CeraVe cream. It's the only

non-prescription skin barrier repair cream (and we tried the prescription

ceramide cream - EpiCeram - and CeraVe works SO much better). I also like MimyX

(generic just came out and is called Prumyx).

Are you having problems with eczema on the scalp? I usually hear about

DermaSmooth being used for eczema on the scalp, but it's an oil, so I don't

think it would work well with a helmet. But, for now, you can treat eczema on

the scalp just like you would the face (with hydrocortisone or Desonide and a

non-greasy moisturizer like CeraVe cream).
