Guest guest
Ask away. I have had just about every invasive procedure one can have at MUSC for sod and cp. I did not have a block however, and had considered that before finally being accepted for the tp/ict. I have a ductal deformity which by the time it was discovered was too late; also for some odd reason my pancreatic condition deteorated very rapidly. Which is rather unusual and rare. They had all kinds of docs looking at my scans and such. Thats why my surgeon was and is so adament that I have the total soon so as not to loose any islet cells. I love the docs at MUSC DDC and hope to work there when I am well enough. If you want me to send you their web page feel free to email me at cdrrn@... and I will send it to you. I have seen Rob Hawes MD for my endoscopies; he's great. I used to take care of his pts for years before I went into the OR's and when we found this problem he was the one I chose. I also had Cotton MD (he and his collegues invented the ERCP procedure) for a second opinion. I have had 3 ercps with manometries, sphincterotomies and stents, countless mrcps, a transduodenal sphinteroplasty and a Beger procedure; resection of the pancreatic head, all within the last year or so. This is a great bunch of people on this board. I have said this many many times but I dont know what i would have done had I not gotten the kind and knowlegable support of the fine people on this board. I do believe I owe them my life, I know I owe them my sanity, or whats left of it...lol I dont think there is a topic that has not been discussed on this board. If you want that musc page just email and I'll get it to you. Good luck with the Ca++ Channel blockers, it takes several weeks before you will see any therapuetic effect; but they do work well for some. Warmly, Chrissy
