Guest guest
Hi Everybody, Up till now, everyone that I am close to--family and friends-- have been very supportive and very excited about the surgery. Until last night. I had been casually dating a friend for almost a year after coming out of a 10 year relationship. This guy is very sweet but he hadn't had a girlfriend in 7 years (since he'd graduated college, he's now almost 30, I'm 26) and was not eager to jump into a relationship and I didn't want to commit to anyone after just coming out of a MAJOR long-term relationship. 2 weeks ago, he told me that he loved me and we are getting more serious. He does not believe in going to doctors unless you are deathly ill. Last night I told him I was ready to schedule surgery. He's terrified. I didn't know how to reassure him. I just told him that I know in my heart that I am helping myself in the best way possible. I told him that I KNOW that I will be fine. I thought he was going to cry. He can't come to NC with me, his family owns a business that is terrible busy during December. Its wonderful to know that he cares about me but I'm not dealing well with taking care of his needs. When my ex-boyfriend wanted something, I usually told him to blow off. I don't want to do that again. The weird thing is that this guy is more interested in the appearance of my feet than the rest of my body. He's not turned off by my belly because he has a foot fetish. So to all my friends who have said they would like to meet a good man who doesn't mind heavy women,,,foot fetishest make great partners. -, 26, MD sp. ed. teacher.
