Guest guest
Hi, My name is Marvalisa and I am considering the surgery. However, I have been considering this type of surgery for about 2 1/2 years in which I have put on more weight. I have researched and read and come up with the conclusion to have the surgery, but I have been to chicken to follow through. I have been preapproved once and stopped the process. However, I was not preapproved w/ Dr R. I think the anesthesia, scares me more than anything. I get very nauseated after surgery. Can you eat anything w/surgar in it...like cereal? Can you drink Diet pepsi? I like food will I get over that? Right now, I live in Germany. I hope this is worth going all the way back to the states. Guest guest
Thanks PhillyJudy, The manual actually answered my initial questions. Dr. R seems to be quite methodical, that appeals to me. Judyh1022@... wrote: > Marvalisa, Welcome. First, download and read the patient manual. Devilled aggs, jello squares, strips of cold chicken with SCD mayo, a small thermos of chicken soup, cold meatballs. Tuesday you are ready to start introducing other foods. Carol F. Only add one new food after the intro at a time and start with a small amount and gradually increase it noting any reactions/symtoms as he tries the new food. It can be tedious at first but in the long run it will speed up the healing process. As healing progresses he should be able to tolerate more variety of foods and lots of different types of snacks.
