Hi. I read the list every day and noticed a lot of new folks on the list

today. I wanted to tell each of you that I would be happy to be a contact or

answer any questions that you might have. Please email me at talachee @

hotmail.com and I will help in any way that I can. The post from the nurse

really hit home with me. I have been spending a lot of days and nights at

the hospital with my Mother-in-law who is very ill. I see how physical the

job of nursing really is. It is very demanding physically and emotionally.

Many of the nurses that I have seen are morbidly obese, and I see the

difference in them from the start of a tweleve hour shift to the end. I can

tell by the way that they walk that their feet hurt and their backs hurt. I

know the feeling well, even though I work at home and am able to take breaks

any time that I like. Being overweight is very difficult. I am still

overweight, but can tell you that there has been a HUGE difference in the

way that I feel both physically and emotionally after my 53 pound

weight-loss. This is the best thing that I have ever done for myself

healthwise. I would have long ago given up dieting because even with a 53

pound weight-loss in two months, the results seem slow enough to have made

me give up (thinking that a diet was not working). This surgery is working.

I am thankful for that. Even my Mother-in-law (who did not want me to have

surgery for fear that no one would be left to take care of the family)is

alert enough to tell me how good I look when I come in to see her each

visit. I know that she has found some peace in the fact that I am on my way

to conquering my obesity. Well, enough for now, but please feel free to

email if you have any questions.
