Guest guest
> Nope...just got scheduled over the phone for the procedure. No info at all. I'm glad to here that you like him, though. He has been seeing Dr. Kaplan, who does not do this procedure. They ruled out many other things, and this is his first ERCP. We are nervous. , Would it be possible to call the doctor's office and ask to scedule a consultation for your husband before the procedure? I'm sure that they would be happy to comply with this request. No one should have to have any medical proceduree performed without having a consultation with the physician who is performing it first. It is a law in the state of GA, and other's too, I believe, that with an ERCP procedure, the physician has to meet with the patient to fully explain the procedure and inform the patient of the possible risks and side effects. The patient then has to sign a release stating that this information was provided and he/she was aware of the possible risks. This law was passed after a man died after having an ERCP inthe state of Georgia. With love, hope and prayers, Heidi Heidi H. Griffeth South Carolina Rep.
