Guest guest
oh my god!! that is horrible Gio. Now i understand why when i was taking the morphine i was having attacks more often. in the beginning i was having them most everyday. I hate the way we get treated, its just not fair. they treat animals better than they treat us. thank you so much for helping. i was starting to feel like i was all alone in the fight. I feel now like theres hope and its so much better having people to talk to about it that understand what im going through. your friend, susie - south jersey
Guest guest
Hello Susie, I can tell you that this disease is a mean vindictive one. I can also tell you that Morphine is NOT the best medication that you can take if you have one of our problems. I can remember when I was in the hospital on an attack a really bad one that started from an ERCP complication and put me in the hospital for 2 months. Well I was treated with Demerol every 2 hours with Visteol. Well there was one point where I was doubled over with pain and It was really killing me so I called the Nurse she called the Resident on call (by the way it was like 1am) after like 45 minutes he came in and said your on alot of Demerol 125 every 2 hours. I said its not working well he said ok give him 5 of Morphine IV. OH MY GOD I was in the worst pain that I had every experienced, he ran back into my room and I was telling him through trying to breath that It was worse and i was having spasms. So they gave me another 125 demerol with 50 Visterol and I calmed down. Of course the RN put it in the chart what happend and MY Gi doc came and saw me the next day and read that and flipped out he said you dont give Morphine to people with this disease it creates spasms in the ducts and really bad pain. I told him that I was in pain and he said ok then we will give you the Demerol PRN when ever you need it ask for it and we will give it to you. So meanwhile the GI doc ripped the Residents butt big time he yelled at him so I could hear it. And at the end he said He is my patient and I make the orders if He needs somehting you call me. he said it was 1am he said well call my house. so that made me feel good. So anyways I have never ever taken Morphine again. Gio
